Exploring for, developing, and producing petroleum and other liquid hydrocarbons. Examples include oil wells and deep sea natural gas drilling.
Oil and gas pipelines go into Utility & Service Lines. Oil spills that occur at the drill site should be placed here; those that come from oil tankers or pipelines should go in Transportation & Service Corridors or in Industrial & Military Effluents, depending on your perspective. (CMP)
